Application Procedure for
the Summer 2010 Festival
Applications are now being accepted for
outstanding high-school, collegiate and pre-professional musicians for
the next season of Blue Mountain Festival. Younger students are eligible to apply if recommended by their teacher.
A tape reflecting the current level of student
achievement, which may accompany the application or be sent under
separate cover, is required from all applicants (new and returning).
The tape is necessary for balancing the chamber ensembles.
Audition
Requirements
Two contrasting works that represent the applicant’s highest level of technical and musical ability.

Enclose the $50 application fee made payable to Blue Mountain
Festival.

Enclose a compact disc, audio or video tape (no minidisk or
HI-8 tape please) containing your audition (see requirements above). Clearly label the tape with your name, age, instrument,
composer, and title of the pieces.

All applications must be received by April 1. Late applications will be reviewed at the discretion of the Executive Director.

Acceptance
All applicants will be notified by letter regarding their acceptance into the program. If accepted, a deposit of 50% is due immediately to reserve a space. The remaining balance is due by June 1, with a $75 discount given if payment is made in full by March 31.
