Nicole Brockmann, Violist

Nicole Brockmann, viola, enjoys a multifaceted career of performance, teaching, and scholarship. She specializes in chamber music but has considerable solo and orchestral experience as well. She received her BFA from Carnegie Mellon University and her MM, AD, and DMA from Yale University. Her viola teachers include Jesse Levine, Paul Silver, and Isaias Zelkowicz, and she has studied chamber music with the Tokyo, Vermeer, and Orion String Quartets and with Joan Panetti, Syoko Aki, Boris Berman, and Ransom Wilson.

Dr. Brockmann is also President of the Dalcroze Society of America and a frequent contributor to the American Dalcroze Journal. She is currently Assistant Professor of Viola at West Virginia University.
